Jackson

Jackson is the most orange of orange cats, so orange that Dr. Seuss himself could probably write an entire book about him, filled with impossible rhymes that somehow make perfect sense.

Jackson arrived at APFH as a young feral cat who would disappear like a ghost in the mist if you so much as looked in his direction. Over time, he found his place among the "Orange Gang," a group that includes Oliver, Steven, Ginger, and Jackson himself.

While Jackson still prefers to admire people from a distance, his personality is impossible to miss. He is always first in line for treats and canned food. In fact, he can hear a can being opened from the opposite end of the house and somehow arrive before everyone else.

Like many feral cats who come to call APFH home, Jackson may never be a cat that enjoys being held or cuddled. But that does not diminish the love we have for him. His bright spirit, playful energy, and unmistakable orange-cat enthusiasm have a way of working their way into your heart. Some cats ask for affection. Jackson simply earns it.
